OUHE: Rough Script Complete

Hi guys, it’s Ran!

It’s been quite some time since I last posted here, and I really apologize for the cowardice, (huhu) as I couldn’t bear to post here knowing that the script is still very much incomplete. And also… yeah, college can be so draining. I’m sorry. </3 My first year at the uni is finally done, though, yay! I’m taking advanced classes this midyear semester to make next sem a little more bearable for me. (As I practically had almost no free time last school year)

Anyway, here comes the lint update!

The game contains 4,865 dialogue blocks, containing 39,155 words and 203,674
characters, for an average of 8.0 words and 42 characters per block.
The game contains 23 menus, 56 images, and 12 screens.

So… the rough script for OUHE is finally complete~

…but it’s really rough, hahaha, as in I wouldn’t want this to be the version that’s released to the public. It’s still unedited, so it’s probably littered with typos and grammar errors (as I don’t edit at all when I write, haha) plus there are still plenty of unpolished scenes. It’s really, really rough. By complete, it just means I’ve written all the scenes from the complete outline for this game. But that doesn’t mean that all the scenes are in their final stage already (or even coherent– I’m looking at you, Vern’s route)

Basically, it’s complete, but it’s not yet done. =) I actually had to completely overhaul a lot of scenes from the previous drafts. It’s the first time I’ve ever done that (huhuhu I cry for you my babies). But anyway, this game is the only (first?) game where I’ve had a lot of problems with the plot (because even though I’m the writer, I keep finding plot holes everywhere! I know, I suck) so I really had to change some plot points a lot of times.

Special thanks to Natasha, by the way, who did some idea-bouncing with me for this project! =)

As for the coding, um, actually, I still haven’t done much of the coding for this game, so I still have to work on that. Sorry. 😡

One thing’s for sure though, we can definitely release this game on Hallow’s eve this year. :”) That much is certain.
