It’s the 30th week of the year! 🙂
I’ve decided to start doing weekly or bi-weekly updates, in order to keep myself in check with all my VN-related stuff. Hahaha. Also, so that I could be held accountable for all my tasks, riiiiight?
From now on, I’ll be scheduling weekly/bi-weekly posts. If a blank post shows up, that means I wasn’t able t0 edit what I scheduled, which means one of three things:
- a.) I may be in a place with no internet; yes, there is such a place
- b.) I may be too busy with schoolwork… but I’ll try to make an announcement before my midterms or finals or whatever hahaha just to let you guys know
- c.) I’m slacking off! And this blog is a witness to that! 😮
Hahaha, so, there. I’m not getting any younger, and I think it’s time to start getting a little more responsible with the things I do. 😀
On the personal projects side, I’m glad to say that TTWM and OUHE are now pretty much ready for release. Expect to see them on Dec. 2016 and Nov. 2016 respectively! OUHE still has a few CGs missing and some silhouette sprites missing, but aside from those, I think it’s safe to say that it’s now complete? And man, I had to test it so many times that I think I memorize the lines already, hahaha. Thanks to Chrisz and IamRaymielle for helping me out in beta-testing, by the way! I also changed the points system, in order to make the endings easier to obtain. As I said before in my previous post, I found it pretty hard to get the endings, even though I wrote the whole script myself. Oh boy. Hahaha.
I’m also working on other projects right now! One is a collab, while the other is a free project that I agreed to help out on. So far, both are doing fine. 🙂 I guess it helps that I’m not the project head for the free one, hahaha. I’ve decided to be the head of just one ongoing project at a time. 🙂 I’m okay with helping others because that means all I have to do is write (and write all day, I can) but if I were the head, and I still had to do coding and looking for backgrounds/music/other resources? Oh, maaaaaan. Aside from being completely tedious, those tasks take hours upon hours upon hooooours to complete. My university load kinda prohibit me from that kind of work, as of now. (Well, not now, because I’m currently on a school break! That’s why I can code freely all I want. Hahaha.) But writing? Count me in, anytime!
I’m also onboard another project right now, but I’m not sure if I’m at a liberty to say what it is, for now. 🙂
Other Concerns: A Sad Announcement
Well, the really, really sad news is that… IaMe Otome Games is pulling the plug on its two visual novel projects, DANGER and Falling Hearts. It’s… a shame, really. I was really looking forward to those games’ releases. And to be honest, the announcement hurt me a lot as the writer, but oh well, these things happen. It’s not like the team wanted to pull the plug on its own babies. The good thing though is that DANGER will still be released, albeit in a kinda different format than before. A lot of the art assets are still incomplete, but we’ll still do our best to provide a game that you guys can enjoy. 🙂
So, that’s it for the 30th week update! It might seem like I have a lot to do at the moment, but believe me guys, these don’t take too much time. (Especially if you’re just the writer, with an outline already provided.) I’m really glad with the way things are going so far.
Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for more updates next week~
