Hi everyone!
Okay, so… I’ve got some pretty awesome news!
Home for the Heart, our entry for SuNoFes 2016, has finally been released! Yay!
It’s only the 0.9 version though because there are still a few more things that need to be tweaked. However, we really want to make it to the SuNoFes deadline, so, here you go everyone! 🙂
To be perfectly honest, August month was completely hectic for me, due to a variety of reasons. It was the start of a new semester, also the start of the typhoon season, which caused some class cancellations and therefore a lot of take-home schoolwork. And then on the first few times that classes weren’t canceled despite the bad weather, I caught the flu and ended up being completely unproductive (school and VN-wise) for a whole week. On top of that, August is also my birthday month, so I had a lot of going-outs with different friends and family. I was forced to cram as much coding as I could during my (little) free time, hahaha. It got to the point that I had to sit at the back of the room in my large audi classes just so I could type away. 😀 If anything, I think I got a whole lot better at pretending to be attentive and taking down notes when actually, I was just thinking of the next happy scene in the characters’ lives. =) (And then studying like crazy before quizzes or assignments.)
But gosh, I’m so happy that we managed to pull this off somehow! ❤ I wasn’t able to proofread this yet, but I did a quick skip-through of the game, and… aww, I’m so happy. All the hardship we had to go through was definitely worth it.
Game jams are certainly not easy, but… they’re always so fun! ❤ And they’re always, always worth it in the end. The experience simply can’t be replaced.
Here are some screenshots from the game!
